- Captain
of 4,000 H.P. Tug Justine McAllister. Towing 120,000 Bbls oil barge RTC
120, primary route between NYC and Albany, NY. In Recent years have been
assigned to various large tows including coal barge Maryland with a daft
of 29’ loaded and routes from Maine to Georgia. Ship Docking in New York.

- Chief Officer aboard K-Sea’s
600’
ATB, Lincoln Sea (former SeaRiver Everett), newest addition to the fleet
at that time. Responsibilities included overall cargo operations and
navigational watches. Routes plied were Hudson River and New England
waters.
- Sailed as Chief Officer and Pilot, of a 1729 GT coastal
product tanker. The vessels unique design, with twin Z-Drives and shallow
draft, allowing it to call on smaller ports such as Nantucket, MA,
Innwood, NY and Stamford, CT. Duties included docking and undocking,
navigation, and cargo operations.
August 1996 to Chief Officer
February 1998 Vela International Marine LTD World Wide
- Sailed
as Chief Officer aboard state of the art 1090’, 300,000 ton Very Large
Crude Carriers. Ships had a draft of 72 feet loaded and were the largest
vessel that could transit the Suez Canal when empty. Responsible for the
implementation of deck planned maintenance, all phases of cargo ops and
regulatory compliance, including OPA 90 and ISO9000. Received company’s
"Qualified for Command" endorsement. Sailed Persian Gulf to U.S.
Gulf, Northern Europe and Southeast Asia.
August 1995 to Captain
August 1996 Windridge Yacht Charters SE Florida and New York
- Captained
a 170’ luxury charter vessel. Responsible for the safety and satisfaction
of up to 500 passengers and a crew of 35. Performed administrative and
social functions as well as all ship handling and navigation. The vessel
relocated from South Florida, where it was the largest that could be
accommodated in many of the harbors it called on, to the New York for the
summer where we ran in a heavy commercial VTS environment.

August 1995: SeaRiver Maritime Inc.(Exxon) North
East, Gulf Coast, San Francisco
- Pioneered San Francisco ship
assist and escort work for Exxon aboard the emergency response tug Exxon
Carquinez, docking tankers, freighters and car carriers in the Bay Area.
Outfitted with foam fire fighting capability and 4000’ oil spill recovery
boom. Responsible for the operation of the vessel, crew management, stores
ordering and the direction of extensive onboard safety and training
programs.
- Master of 150’ Exxon
California, most powerful "Harbor" tug in West Coast service.
Escorting, docking and undocking Tankers as large as 1000’ and 211,000
tons.
- Launched Exxon Golden State,
550 ft. 9900 ton Dual Mode Integrated Tug / Barge unit, in Gulf of Mexico
service. Sailed as Chief Officer and then Captain. Directed all vessel
operations including cargo.
- Served as Chief Mate and Step
up Captain aboard vessels of Exxon’s New York fleet. Ship assist, barge
work, creek work, and coastal towing.
- First operator to tow
150,000-barrel oil barge "Exxon Bayway".
- Chief Mate and Pilot of
276’ 30,000 bbls Z Drive tanker of
1795 gross tons.
